A new initiative from the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS), this two-day training course is particularly designed for clinicians in training with a particular interest in the field of mineral metabolism and metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis.

The programme will provide participants with the fundamental and advanced knowledge in clinical skills for the evaluation and management of patients with a metabolic bone disease.  Delegates will also gain a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic tools and treatment options.

The training course will combine state-of-the-art lectures with discussion of cases in small groups. It will offer plenty of opportunities for networking and share ideas.

The 2022 training course will develop over two-full days training and will:

  • Inform about metabolic bone diseases and disorders of mineral homeostasis
  • Discuss cases to illustrate key points in diagnosis and treatment
  • Identify clinical guidelines that should be followed
  • Offer advice about management of individual cases

This course is mainly aimed at clinicians in training and clinical PhD students, but it is also of interest to specialists willing to update their knowledge, allied health professionals, and industry delegates.

Participants will have until 23:59 CET 15 February, 2023 to watch the course lectures, complete all the evaluation forms and fill out the overall satisfaction survey to obtain their credits. Certificate will be issued and available on 16 February, 2023 within your user profile under the section CONTINUING EDUCATION.

Please note that once your CME certificate has been issued it is no longer possible to modify it.

To obtain the maximum credits you can watch either the Live sessions, the On-Demand lectures (available in the following days after the end of this event) or a combination of the two.
A calculation of the time spent on the Live session and on each On-Demand lectures by session will be made to calculate the overall time you have spent. To see your progress, open your user profile (top left), click continuing education, select the day and your activity will be displayed. Note that you do not need to watch On-Demand lectures if you have already watched the complete Live sessions.

Watch out: In addition to watching the lectures, you will also need to fill in the evaluation survey for each day AND the evaluation at the end of the course. Those two steps are mandatory in order to receive the CME credits.
